The Frosted Noir Footwear concept was created as a technical showcase, demonstrating various design techniques across multiple phases. This project allowed me to explore and apply advanced CAD methods, including SubD modeling, algorithmic design (AAD), shading, and rendering.
Rhino was used to generate complex, organic SubD shapes that mirror the natural contours of the human body. The design features four separate bodies that seamlessly blend together to form the complete shoe. Additionally, the heel texture was crafted using Grasshopper, within Rhino’s environment, to create a dynamic, algorithm-driven pattern that enhances the shoe's visual impact. This pattern adapts precisely to the unwrapped UVs of the 3D model, balancing complexity with elegance.
Finally, shading and rendering were done in Blender, leveraging its powerful shader tools to develop the hexagonal pattern and the translucent, wavy texture on the sole. The result is a highly realistic final render that showcases the striking contrasts between different materials and finishes.

The Black V1 is a concept design for a tattoo machine, commissioned by Oscar Akermo, a Swedish tattoo artist known for his micro-realism tattoo style. The machine was designed as an additional accessory for Oscar’s tattoo education platform, C23 Labs, to enhance the learning experience for his community.
Originally envisioned as a complement to the lessons, the Black V1 was intended to be an optional purchase for new tattoo artists. It was crafted as a tool to help beginners understand and get comfortable with the various elements that come into play during tattoo sessions, providing them with a hands-on way to explore and control the complexities of tattooing.
However, despite the concept’s potential, the Black V1 was never released. It remains an exploration of what could be, a project that illustrates the possibilities within tattoo education and professional tools, even if it ultimately stayed in the concept stage.
